A seasoned DJ and “bartender” (each with their own curated bags of tricks) kept everyone moving as they enjoyed the birthday girl's signature drink: a classic Shirley Temple. The entire outdoor patio came alive with a specially sourced translucent light up bar, dance floor, and “cocktail” tables.

Once guests passed through the golden stanchions and red velvet ropes to the red carpet backdrop, brightly lit with spotlights, our pro photographer took hundreds of shots of our celebs. A “production assistant” dressed in head to toe black and outfitted with headphones and clipboard, checked in celebrity guests from a list, just like the real deal- no riff-rafff on this red carpet! On the way out to the party space, the client’s stunning grand piano was dressed with movie memorabilia, custom balloon installations, and more. On the walls were well-known black and white photos of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, giving the party just enough of the vintage feel that should accompany any red carpet.Īs with all movie making and red carpet events, there was glamour and drama. Oversized film reel centerpieces were designed and director horns provided a little extra on-the-set reality to the event as well. Huge chalkboards beckoned guests, teasing a movie shoot in progress, and directing celebrities to check in with the production assistant. The exterior entry was dressed with a twelve-foot gold and black rendering of an image resembling our “star.” The two-story entry was dressed with an oversized film reel from our vast collection of props, oversized faux “film” was woven into the staircase, with a director's chair placed on this working set. Orchestrating an event of this magnitude requires “know who” as well as “know how!” Experienced vendors were sourced for every element, a special teen-friendly menu planned, and a gorgeous set was created to evoke the magic of a red carpet premiere. Specialty signage listing LA streets were sourced and placed throughout the party space as well, from the gorgeous two-story entry, all through the house and out to the expansive patio with a spectacular view. The custom-created photo wall featured our client-designed invitation graphic, and was a non-stop hit. There was a custom-made red carpet photo wall, which was made possible by our sixteen-year-old of honor.
Like any red carpet event, the scene was set with Hollywood reds, shiny Oscar gold, and complementary blacks and whites. The gorgeous rolling hills of Rancho Los Nogales stood in for the Hollywood Hills as we designed and executed a memorable, special and exciting party for this beauty's milestone birthday, celebrated with 50 of her closest friends.
